Advantage Newsletter (Summer)

WRIGHT-PATTERSON AFB, Ohio - The Air Force SBIR/STTR Program has grown highly competitive and its most successful participants are those that have clearly focused on technology transition. In the summer edition of the Advantage newsletter, Air Force SBIR/STTR Commercialization Readiness Program Manager Jim Sweeney talks about the bigger, better toolbox being provided for small businesses to succeed. Other highlights of this edition include

  • The story of a Utah company that developed a more environmentally-friendly and lower-cost way to protect landing gear components;
  • An update on the Air Force Test Center Small Business Industry Days event, which is set to take place in November in Las Vegas;
  • A national small business champion award for an Air Force SBIR/STTR Program Manager; and
  • A feature about the two Air Force partners honored with the U.S. Small Business Administration’s highest award for SBIR/STTR companies.
