Advantage Newsletter (Winter)

The annual Operation Tech Warrior exercise – conducted by the Air Force Research Laboratory and sponsored by the Air Force SBIR/STTR Program – is now part of a year-round enterprise administered by Wright State University’s National Center for Medical Readiness in Fairborn, Ohio.

Tech Warrior has been a tremendous asset to both the Air Force and the small business community.

In the winter edition of the newsletter, Air Force SBIR/STTR Program Director David Shahady talks about how the expansion will allow companies to gain a better understanding of their Air Force customer and create an even more impactful demonstration of their technology.

Other highlights of this issue include:

  • A feature about AFRL and an Ohio company, with Air Force SBIR/STTR support, teaming up to revolutionize the way some critical information is processed by intelligence analysts;
  • An update on the next Small Business Industry Days event, including how to register; and
  • The story about a Virginia-based business working on a molding technology that could produce better, and cheaper, aircraft engine turbine blades.
